＜p＞Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2002 im Fachbereich Klassische Philologie - Latinistik - Literatur, Note: 2,0, Universit?t zu K?ln (Institut f?r Altertumskunde), Veranstaltung: Petron: Cena Trimalchionis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Cena Trimalchionis bildet den Hauptteil Petrons sonst nur in Bruchst?cken erhaltenen Romans Satyricon, dessen Entstehungszeitpunkt unbekannt ist. Der Held und Erz?hler ist Encolpius, ein junger gebildeter Mann. Zusammen mit seinen zwei Gef?hrten Giton und Ascyltos erlebt er viele erlebnisreiche Abenteuer. Mit Agamemnon, einem Bekannten, gelangen sie schlie?lich zu einem Gelage von Trimalchio, der sich als Freigelassener zu einem schwerreichen Mann emporgearbeitet hat. An dieser Cena nehmen neben den oben erw?hnten Gef?hrten ehemalige Schicksalsgenossen Trimalchios, also ebenfalls Freigelassene, die aber nicht wie er die H?hen und Tiefen des Lebens erlebt haben, teil. Gegen Ende des Gastmahles, also an der von mir zu interpretierenden Stelle erscheint der Steinmetz Habinnas mit seiner Frau, ein ebenfalls zu Ansehen und Reichtum gelangter Freigelassener, der von dem Leichenschmaus, von dem er gerade kommt, erz?hlt. Auf seinen Wunsch wird auch Fortunata, Trimalchios Gattin gerufen, aufgedonnert und nicht auf den Mund gefallen. Die von mir zu behandelnde Textstelle hat eine interessante Stellung in Petrons Cena Trimalchionis: Sie stellt einen Teil des vierten, somit letzten Hauptgangs dar, welcher durch das pl?tzliche Auftreten Habinnas und seiner Gemahlin Scintilla unterbrochen wird. Ich habe mich f?r diese Stelle entschieden, da sie meiner Meinung nach einen guten Einblick in die Cena Trimalchionis gew?hrt. Au?erdem l?sst sich an dieser von mir zu analysierenden Textstelle die Borniertheit und das Halbwissen der G?ste festmachen. Des weiteren bietet sich dieser Textausschnitt an, das von Habinnas bei seiner Erz?hlung verwendete Vulg?rlatein genauer zu untersuchen. Ich habe die Interpretation der Kapitel 65,3-67,13 in vier sinngem??e Abschnitte gegliedert und gehe in jedem einzelnen Abschnitt auf unterschiedliche Besonderheiten des Textes ein. Chance played by John Wayne and Outlaw Josey Wales personated by Clint Eastwood, will be exerted. For this endeavor, two films that constitute a remarkable landmark for those very particular actors are going to be considered - 'Rio Bravo' by Howard Marks filmed in 1959 and 'The Outlaw Josey Wales' self-directed by Clint Eastwood in 1976. Both movies embody a threshold-situation for each one of them. In Rio Bravo John Wayne, the 'bigger-than-life-cowboy-hero', became older and was no longer the lonesome stranger as opposed to his previous appearances. With the role of the Sheriff John T. Chance, Howard Hawks took Wayne out of the fifties and brought him into the sixties. That shift is illustrated as Wayne was now seen with a rifle instead of a pistol and furthermore exemplified because he saw others who were faster. In conjunction with this he now transformed into the leader of a team, and this was representative of the significant change which had taken place in western movies, with the transition from adult western to professionalism. Clint Eastwood is praised as the supernatural 'Man with No Name' to the undead, the one who wreaks vengeance to the unforgiven, whose veneer of renunciation gives away revelations of guilt and terror. Unlike in the Leone-Trilogy, his character was transformed into a man named 'Josey Wales', but he maintained all of his abilities. Wales says little, keeps his face hidden in the shadows, has an almost godlike personal invulnerability and lives by a code we have to intuit, because he would rather die than explain it aloud. He has the aptitude to wipe out six, eight, or even ten bad guys before they can fire off a single shot. He plays it extremely cool and keeps the audience believing that he has everything under control in any situation, no matter how thrilling the situation may be - a MAN. Both - Wales and Chance - can be considered heroes but what kind of heroes? How do they embody their heroism? Do they have a past, a family, and friends or do they appear from no-where? What is remarkable for each one of the characters and what is similar? Any of his books was built around the McLuhan-question: 'Does the form of any medium of communication affect our social relations, our political ideas, or psychic habits, and of course, as he [Marshall McLuhan] always emphasized, our sensorium' (Postman: 07/30/05)? Postman was aware of the fact that a new technology and therefore a new medium may have destructive as well as creative effects. During the history of mankind there have been tremendous changes in the forms, volume, speed and context of information and it is necessary to find out what these changes meant and mean to our cultures (Postman: 1985, 160). For him, it is a basic principle that 'the clearest way to see through a culture is to attend to its tools for conversation' (Postman: 1985, 8). In the book 'Amusing Ourselves to Death - Public Discourse in the Age of Show Business' Postman examines, from a 1980s viewpoint, the changes in the American culture caused by the shift from the Age of Reason with the printed word at its center to the Age of Show Business with television as the central medium - or in simplifying terms the shift from rationality to triviality. Twenty years later, the situation has changed again. This term paper will make an attempt to answer the question what the new media, especially the internet, did to the modern (American) culture and to its public discourse. Obviously, Postman's provocative title 'Amusing Ourselves to Death' was just the beginning of a fast moving development since nowadays the modern media world seems to shape our lives under the title 'Informing Ourselves to Death' (Postman: 07/30/05) or to use one of the latest terms 'Infotaining Ourselves to Death'. ..First of all, the following chapters will examine the line of Postman's argumentation which led to the conclusion that television has significantly transformed the American society into an amusement and entertainment culture. Nicht selten wurde von der Rechtschreibleistung eines Kindes unmittelbar auf seine Begabung geschlossen, sodass auch der ?bertritt auf eine weiterf?hrende Schule erheblich von den schriftsprachlichen Konsequenzen eines Sch?lers abhing. Auch wenn in den letzten Jahren verst?rkt Bem?hungen unternommen wurden, das schulische Fortkommen weniger von den schriftsprachlichen Leistungen abh?ngig zu machen, ist die Annahme eines engen Zusammenhangs zwischen Intelligenz und Lese- Rechtschreibleistung nach wie vor pr?sent. Deutlich wird dies am Beispiel der Legasthenie, da die Diskrepanzdefinition letztendlich auf der Annahme gr?ndet, dass der IQ ein gutes Ma? zur Vorhersage der Lese-Rechtschreibleistung ist und ein zumindest normal intelligentes Kind ohne gr??ere Schwierigkeiten, Lesen und Schreiben erlernen m?sste. In der folgenden Arbeit m?chte ich mich mit dem Thema Legasthenie auseinandersetzen und vor allem Fragen kl?ren, wie 'Welche Rolle spielt die Intelligenz eines Kindes beim Schriftspracherwerb tats?chlich?' oder 'Ist der Zusammenhang zwischen Intelligenz und Lese- Rechtschreibleistung wirklich so hoch, dass sich damit Schlussfolgerungen auf das Bildungsniveau oder das Diskrepanzkonzept der Legasthenie rechtfertigen lie?en?' Bevor ich auf die Ursachen einer Legasthenie und das Verhalten eines Legasthenikers eingehen werde, m?chte ich einige bekannte Modelle des ungest?rten Schriftspracherwerbs betrachten und einen kurzen Abriss ?ber die wichtigsten Ver?nderungen geben, die sich in den letzten Jahren in der Lese- Rechtschreibforschung vollzogen haben.
