SKEWed（スキュー）MATCH POCKET PANTS（マッチポケットパンツ）デニム デニムパンツ ジーンズ Lee リー セットアップ 日本製 デニムの特性を生かしたオリジナリティあふれるプロダクト 日本生まれのジーンズメーカーEDWINが25年春夏シーズンよりスタートさせるSKEWed（スキュー）。 「SKEWed」は、デニム用語の「スキュー加工」と「EDWIN」を組み合わせた名前で、プロジェクト名でありブランド名でもある。 スキュー(Skew Skew）加工とは、デニム特有の捩れを解消するための加工のこと。 綾織りは経糸が緯糸を2 本もしくは3 本飛び越えているために経糸が緯糸を引っ張ってしまい斜行（ねじれ）が生じる。 このネジレを解消する為に、生地の段階でネジレ方向に力を掛け先にネジってしまう加工スキュー(Skew Skew）加工が存在する。 それにより、独特な立体感と存在感のあるシルエットが生まれるようになるのだ。 ちなみに古着屋で見かけるヴィンテージデニムでよくワタリから裾にかけて捻れが生じているものを見ることがよくあるが、それは1960年代以前のヴィンテージはこの加工が一般的ではなかった時代があったからである。 EDWIN本体では実現できないアイデアやアプローチを試みており、日本を代表する老舗デニムブランドEDWINを背景に某3大デニムブランドのディテールを踏襲しつつも、SKEWed独自のフィルターで解釈し新たなプロダクトを生み出していく。 今回の1stコレクションでは、Jeans Wearの代名詞でありAmerican Big 3と称される”L/L/W”3ブランドの代表商品のセットアップを SKEWed的解釈でアップデートし、表現。 ブランド名である”SKEWed”=ネジレ、そしてオリジナルの持つ商品の特徴を生かしながら現代風の”giant fit”なサイジングを施している。 1950年代のLeeの「101-Z」をイメージし、アップデートしたこちらのモデル。 50年代のLeeといえば、1955年公開の映画「理由なき反抗」で主演のジェームス・ディーンが劇中でもプライベートでも愛用していた1954年モデルがあまりにも有名。 フロント部分の小さなポケットは「Match Pocket」と呼ばれていたことから、この名前がつけられている。 Leeでは、1940年代にそれまで使用していた右綾デニムを左綾デニムに変更。現在では左綾デニムの代名詞として広く知られている。 今回使用した米綿100%のデニムは、硫化（サルファ）染料で下染めを施した、やや黒みを感じられる生地。 鉄製リベットで馬の鞍を傷つけないように独自で考案したスレッドリベッドと呼ばれるカンヌキ補強を採用していたり、馬に乗っている際に物を取り出しやすいよう、あえてサイドライン寄りに傾斜したヒップポケットを配置していたりと、カウボーイが馬上でも動きやすいよう考慮されたLeeならではのディティールもしっかり取り入れている。 ボリュームのあるワタリとは裏腹にウエストやヒップラインはLeeらしく少しシュッとしており、膝下の緩やかなテーパードも相まってバギーシルエットとは毛色が違うスタイリッシュな雰囲気を感じさせる。 細かなディティールにはリスペクトを払いつつも「ヴィンテージジーンズとはこうでなきゃいけない」というような凝り固まった固定概念を覆すモノづくりの姿勢はとても新鮮に感じる。 リジッドの段階ではオリジナルよりもやや濃いめの染色濃度だが、履き込んでいけば左綾織のLeeらしいくすみ感のある綺麗な縦落ちが期待できそうだ。 厚すぎず、薄すぎないオンスはさらりとしていて、デニム愛好家でなくとも季節問わず気軽に履きたくなる。 ブランドのこだわりが遺憾無く発揮された珠玉のアイテム。 是非とも履いてスキューを感じてみてはいかがだろうか。 ■商品番号/ SKEWed-PT-02 サイズ(cm) ウエスト ワタリ 股上 股下 裾幅 30 80 32 38 65 3132 86 33 39 67 3134 92 34 40 69 31 商品の特性上個体差が生じる可能性がございます。予めご了承くださいませ。 着用サイズ：▼男性モデル:30サイズ着用 身長176cm/60kg■素材/生地 コットン100% ■原産国/MADE IN JAPAN メーカー希望小売価格はメーカー商品タグに基づいて掲載しています
