In recent years, Lafite has actually ripped up parcels that routinely never made it into the grand vin?and the grand vin now includes more and more Cabernet Sauvignon. There is blackberry here, a hint of cassis and violets, fine purity but bolshie and withdrawn at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannin, more red fruit than the Montrose with a smooth, quite silky Merlot-like, graphite finish. Tasted on two occasions in Bordeaux, the second bottle exuded more panache and joie-de-vivre, coming across a little more spicy with a longer aftertaste. 2015/04/01 PP(WAポイント)91-93 ┃公開媒体： The Wine Advocate ┃著者： Neal Martin ┃飲み頃： 2020 - 2040 The Ch?teau Calon-S?gur 2014 is a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc, 19% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot cropped at 41hl/ha and aged in 100% new oak for what is intended to be 20 months. The alcohol comes in at 13.8%, which would have been higher if more Merlot had been retained. The first impression is one of the oak because coming straight after the Montrose '14 (?levage in 60% new oak) the wood element is more pronounced here. It is relatively opulent and high-toned compared to its Saint Est?phe counterparts, developing floral scents with time but never quite extricating itself from the winemaking. The palate is medium-bodied with quite firm tannin that lend this more chewiness than either Montrose or Cos d'Estournel. There is a lot of backbone to this wine, well focused with a good line of acidity, but again, I believe a more moderate use of new oak would have allowed the terroir to be expressed in what is a terroir-driven vintage. It is an impressive, you could almost say ambitious Calon S?gur, though I am seeking more personality via the terroir to be articulated. It clearly serves up more than enough volume and fruit intensity on the nose compared to the impressive 2011 Canon: it is very pure with black cherries, wild strawberry, asphalt and blood orange. This is very well defined and beautifully focused. The palate is medium-bodied, silky smooth and with that thrilling sense of frisson. There is so much vivacity wound up inside this Saint Emilion that it would not surprise me if it turns out to be one of the very best in 2012. Parker, Jr. ┃飲み頃： 2020 - 2045 The 2012 is the first truly profound Canon under the administration of the Wertheimers, the family that owns the famous haute couture house of Chanel. Improvement has been noticeable for a number of years, but this wine is remarkable, particularly in view of a more challenging vintage. The color is a healthy dark ruby/purple, and the wine offers up great minerality along with floral, black-fruited characteristics. What’s not a surprise are the nobility, elegance and finesse of this wine (70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc) married with serious richness and intensity. Le Tertre Roteboeuf シャトー・ル・テルトル・ロートブッフ テルトル・ロートブッフ独自のスタイル 1980年代半ばにこのシャトーが表舞台に登場して以来、フランソワ・ミジャヴィルは、格別なワイン醸造のスキルと才能によって、ボルドーで最も豪華で肉感的でセクシーなワインを造ってきた。その豪奢な芳醇さと、間違えようのないジャムのような舌触りで、このワインはひどく欲望をそそる。また、ローストしたコーヒーのアロマによってこのワインを特別なものとしている。誰もがそのように考えがちだが、ル・テルトル・ロートブッフはいわゆるサン=テミリオンの主流となっている現代的醸造法の一派ではない。このワインは、無類の独特のスタイルを持ち、今日まで模倣されたことがない。 このごく小さなシャトー、ル・テルトル・ロートブッフは、現在世界中の注目を集めている。これはむろん正当な事であるが、人はこのシャトーが何1つ変わらないことを望んでもいるのである。ミジャヴィル氏は一途な決意のもとにこのシャトーを運営しており、妥協というものを知らない。彼が心に抱いているのは、素晴らしい地の利に恵まれたこのシャトーから、ポムロールのラフフール、ペトリュス、セルタン・ド・メのようなエキス分と強烈さを持つワインを造ることである。そのため、収穫時期を最も遅くし、収量を低く抑え、ワインの力強さを生かすために相当の新樽を使っている。最近のヴィンテージには、まぎれもなく、まばゆいほどの果実味と派手やかな華々しさがあり、ヨーロッパのワイン評論家からおびただしい数の激賞の評が寄せられている。 ～ロバート・M・パーカーJr ボルドー第4版より～ テルトル・ロートブッフは「ゲップする牛の丘」という名の個性的な葡萄畑で、サン・テミリオンのコート(高台)南東部にあり、しかも一番日当たり抜群の東南向きの斜面に位置しており、ミジャヴィルさん曰く「葡萄が焼けるくらい太陽が照るよ」というくらいの絶好かつ絶景の場所です。半すり鉢状の葡萄畑はタンニンを高めて、壊してくれ、熱く、速成になるのだが、湿度や風がそれを遅らせてくれるという地中海性気候のミクロクリマが特長だそうです。 ミジャヴィルさんの造るワインの味わいには独自の哲学があり、以下の3つの要素でテロワールを表現しています。 1.柔らかいタンニンを造る 味の奥の方から来る紅茶のタンニン分、シガーやコーヒーなどの強いタンニン分でなく、良質な葡萄由来のポリフェノールやアントシアニンを求めています。 2.葡萄が熟していなくてはならない 果実が綺麗にワインの中に溶け込んでいく為に必要であり、ギリギリまで葡萄の収穫を遅らせている。(近くの森で良質なセップ茸が採れ始めた頃に丁度ここの葡萄が熟し、一気に収穫するそうです) 3.酸度は低くなくてはならない 葡萄の種の中にある味わいも大切な要素(種も熟す)であり、果実が綺麗にワインに溶け込んで行く為には酸度は低いほど柔らかい味わいが生まれます。(白ワインは酸度が高い方がよい) シャトーではミジャヴィルさんがコート・ド・ブールで所有するもう一つのシャトー、ロック・ド・カンブ 2012年と2011年をテルトル・ロートブッフと一緒に垂直並行テイスティング。ロック・ド・カンブはジロンド河を見下ろす、ここの畑と全く同じ南向きの円形劇場のように広がる葡萄畑のシャトーです。同一ヴィンテージで敢えてロック・ド・カンブが後から供された時には、ミジャヴィルさんの心意気と自信を感じました。サン・テミリオンの極上ワインと同じレベルにある素晴らしいワインです。 氏曰く、「偉大なワインが無くなってしまいました。ボルドーの人たちは収穫が早すぎます。ブドウの収穫を遅らせることで生ずるリスクを冒したくないのでしょうが、曖昧な点が一つあります。パラドックスです。質と安全は反比例します。複雑な気候の中から、このテロワールが毎年同じ品質のワインを造ってくれるのです……セカンドワインはありません、葡萄の出来が悪いといわれる年こそ私のワインを飲んでみて下さい……。」 新樽で熟成途中の2012年をテイスティング後に、嬉しそうにワインセラーの奥から「これ飲んでみて」とミジャヴィルさんから勧められたテルトル・ロートブッフ2000年、感動のベストワインでした！！ by：SHU#1

Normally this is a blend of at least 50% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon with a tiny portion of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Not a lot of new oak is used, so the wine tends to show lots of earth, spice box, cedar wood, tobacco leaf and red and black currants. The 2013 does that in a somewhat superficial, but pleasant and attractive style. Parker, Jr. ┃飲み頃： 2008 - 2025 The straight-shooting Madame Gasqueton told me that in late August she thought the entire vintage was “lost,” but the beautiful weather in September saved everything. The harvest began on September 29 (Merlot) and finished on October 11 (Cabernet Sauvignon). This 2004 comes across like their 1988. An unusually high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) was blended with 30% Merlot, resulting in a dense ruby/purple-colored, slightly herbaceous Calon-Segur possessing a tapenade/olive characteristic along with plump, rich black cherries, truffles, underbrush, and black currants. Medium to full-bodied with plenty of sweet tannin, excellent purity, and a broad mouthfeel.
