【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Harley's Redemption【電子書籍】[ Cassandra Parker ]

Harley is a rebel soul, lashing out at his family because all they care about is their social standing. They snub nose anyone beneath them, leaving Harley to fend for himself. Harley couldn't be like them and it was destroying him piece by piece.

Harley's world fell apart. He was a biker, a rebel, and on a downward spiral. Together with his man servant, Garrett, he sets out to discover himself and look for the angel he saw in visions. Everyone thought he was crazy to go chasing after illusions on some wild quest. This is his story about failure, redemption and his search for Mari.

Mari thinks he is drop dead gorgeous. He is the stuff of dreams, handsome, tall, self-assured, not an ounce of fat on his body. His hair is an incredible mix of sandy and dark brown that accentuate his blue-gray eyes. When he smiles, she could almost swear he is an innocent saint or a rascally devil. Mari loves how Harley looks after her. He is protective, gentle, and loves her with abandon. Mari doesn’t think of Harley as being a perfect match for her. To Mari, Harley is her joy, her present and her future. He encourages her to seek adventure, and to follow her dreams.

Harley's Redemption is a romance filled with comedic and tragic moments. It tells the story of two college students as they discover the love of a lifetime. Harley and Mari have the kind of love most people only dream about. This is the journey of two people who discover that true love is endless, endures through all the heartbreak and laughter, and transcends time.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

The Basket Woman: A Book of Indian Tales for Children【電子書籍】[ Mary Hunter Austin ]

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】The Basket Woman: A Book of Indian Tales for Children【電子書籍】[ Mary Hunter Austin ]

The homesteader's cabin stood in a moon-shaped hollow between the hills and the high mesa; and the land before it stretched away golden and dusky green, and was lost in a blue haze about where the river settlements began. The hills had a flowing outline and melted softly into each other and higher hills behind, until the range broke in a ragged crest of thin peaks white with snow. A clean, wide sky bent over that country, and the air that moved in it was warm and sweet. The homesteader's son had run out on the trail that led toward the spring, with half a mind to go to it, but ran back again when he saw the Basket Woman coming. He was afraid of her, and ashamed because he was afraid, so he did not tell his mother that he had changed his mind. "There is the mahala coming for the wash," said his mother; "now you will have company at the spring." But Alan only held tighter to a fold of her dress. This was the third time the Indian woman had come to wash for the homesteader's wife; and, though she was slow and quiet and had a pleasant smile, Alan was still afraid of her. All that he had heard of Indians before coming to this country was very frightful, and he did not understand yet that it was not so. Beyond a certain point of hills on clear days he could see smoke rising from the campoodie, and though he knew nothing but his dreams of what went on there, he would not so much as play in that direction. The Basket Woman was the only Indian that he had seen. She would come walking across the mesa with a great cone-shaped carrier basket heaped with brushwood on her shoulders, stooping under it and easing the weight by a buckskin band about her forehead. Sometimes it would be a smaller basket carried in the same fashion, and she would be filling it with bulbs of wild hyacinth or taboose; often she carried a bottle-necked water basket to and from the spring, and always wore a bowl-shaped basket on her head for a hat. Her long hair hung down from under it, and her black eyes glittered beadily below the rim. Alan had a fancy that any moment she might pick him up with a quick toss as if he had been a bit of brushwood, and drop him over her shoulder into the great carrier, and walk away across the mesa with him. So when he saw her that morning coming down the trail from the spring, he hung close by his mother's skirts.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

These Islands were unknown to the Western world until Captain James Cook discovered them on his third journey to the Pacific in January 1778. Here he discovered a cluster of volcanic craters and coral-reefs, where the mountains are mantled in perpetual green and look down upon valleys of eternal spring.

Here, for two-thirds of the year trade-winds, sweeping down from the northwest coast of America are softened in their passage southward. They dally with the stately cocoas and spreading palms, and mingle their cooling breath with the ever-living fragrance of fruit and frangipani blossom. These islands greet the eye of the approaching mariner like a shadowy paradise, suddenly lifted from the blue depths they soar above the Pacific Ocean inviting him to drop anchor by this enchanted shore.

10% of the profit from the sale of this book will be donated to charities by the Publisher.

TAGS: Hawaii, folklore, fairytales, myths, legends, children’s stories, island life, surf, sun drenched, mountains, volcanoes, pacific ocean, king kalakaua, Hina, Helen Of Hawaii, Royal Hunchback, Triple Marriage, Laa-Mai-Kahiki, Apotheosis, Pele, Hua, King Of Hana, Iron Knife, Sacred Spear-Point, Kelea, Surf-Rider, Maui, Umi, Peasant Prince, Lono, Kaikilani, Adventures, Iwikauikaua, Prophecies, Keaulumoku, Cannibals, Halemanu, Kaiana, Last, Hawaiian Knights, Kaala, Flower Of Lanai, Destruction, Temples, Tomb, Puupehe, Story, Laieikawai, Lohiau, Lover Of A Goddess, Kahavari, Chief Of Puna, Kahalaopuna, Princess Of Manoa.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

Here we are! And now I will wind the clock. Gurr! gurr! gurr! Tick-tock! tick-tock!

I PUT on my dream-cap one day and stepped into Wonderland.
Along the road I jogged and never dusted my shoes, and all the time the pleasant sun shone and never burned my back, and the little white clouds floated across the blue sky and never let fall a drop of rain to wet my jacket. And by and by I came to a steep hill.

I climbed the hill, though I had more than one tumble in doing it, and there, on the tip-top, I found a house as old as the world itself. That was where Father Time lived; and who should sit in the sun at the door, spinning away for dear life, but Time's Grandmother herself; and if you would like to know how old she is you will have to climb to the top of the church steeple and ask the wind as he sits upon the weather-cock, humming the tune of Over-yonder song to himself.

"Good-morning," says Time's Grandmother to me.
"Good-morning," says I to her.

"And what do you seek here?" says she to me.

"I come to look for odds and ends," says I to her.

"Very well," says she; "just climb the stairs to the garret, and there you will find more than ten men can think about."
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

Excerpt

His instructions were lost to the night as the car tilted sideways and plunged down the side of a deep ditch. Blair felt her body starting to fly across the seat, but at the last second, she managed to grab the steering wheel. A crunching sound filled the air when the car came to rest at the bottom of the crevice.
When her door flew open, she looked up, preparing herself for the stranger’s anger, but she only witnessed concern on his face.
"Are you all right?"
"I think so.” She tried to sit upright, but with the unstable position of the car, it was impossible.
When he reached inside, she didn't utter one word as he lifted her easily into his arms and carried her up the steep incline to the road.
"I'll feel safer if I can keep a closer eye on you until I'm ready to leave,” he said, still holding her arm between his fingertips.
His remark humiliated Blair. She refused to thank him as they walked the short distance to the station. A few minutes later, she stood looking out the plate glass window watching the tow truck pull her car out of the ditch.
The young mechanic entered the building and motioned toward her car. "I don't have time to check it tonight, but maybe tomorrow,” he told her, wiping the grease from his hands on an old rag.
"I'd appreciate it.”
He nodded and disappeared through another door. She watched the stranger follow the man into the next room. She picked up her handbag and looked around eventually spotting the rest room sign.
After entering, her brown gaze traveled to the mirror. She couldn’t believe the image reflected in the glass. She looked like a Raggedy Ann doll. She removed her brush and pulled it through her honey colored hair to loosen the thick tangles and reapplied her make up.
As she entered the garage, the cool blue eyes of her companion watched her progress across the room. Now that she wasn’t such a mess, she could have sworn there was a look of interest on his face.
Blair took a position against the wall and didn’t miss how often he looked her way. He might not be interested in her at all; only wanting to make sure she stayed out of trouble. When he motioned for her to join him, she hurried across the room.
"Since either car won't be ready tonight, the mechanic offered to drive us to a motel. You may want him to drop you off at a different motel."
It sounds as if he wants to get rid of me! His suggestion suits me! She fumed silently as they reached the truck.
"This is going to be a tight squeeze,” the mechanic said, “but I think we can manage." As it turned out, managing meant sitting on the stranger's lap in the front seat, with the luggage squeezed alongside. "There are only two motels near here."
"Either one will do for me, but you'll have to ask Ms. Blair Clancy which one she wants to go to.”

The northeast wind was very fresh that morning, and drove the seas before it briskly; but the Denverwent at each of them in her bulldog fashion, and buried her white nose in them, and showered the crests of those which were specially boisterous in glistening spray over her forecastle. In the east the October sun was just beginning to peep over the sea-line, while to the northward lay the great mountain island of Madeira, already changing, by the magic touch of the light, from a phantom grey to that living green so dear to the eyes of a seaman. Soon signs of life began to appear; a village could be made out nestling in each of the valleys which furrowed the mountain-side, while yellow villas dotted its wooded slopes. In a bight at the south base, white in the morning sunlight, lay the town of Funchal, in front of which, like a huge sentinel, knee-deep, stood a towering rock crowned with a fort, reminding one of a castle on a chess-board. Mr. Keegan, chief boatswain’s mate of the Denver, and his friend, Jimmy Legs, the master-at-arms, sat on the weather side of the forecastle, under the forward eight-inch turret, with the collars of their pea-coats turned well up over their ears, taking a morning smoke. Mr. Keegan had a keen eye for the beautiful, and it was his wont on such occasions to sit in silence for as much as an hour at a time. The master-at-arms, being a ’tween-decks man, delighted in watching the seas break over the bows, although this amusement not infrequently cost him a wetting and a pipeful of tobacco. Mr. Keegan was a young man with reddish hair and small, expressionless blue eyes, and his Christian name was Dennis. He had a round, full face, abnormally so on one side because of the large piece of navy plug which invariably distended it. I have said that he was chief boatswain’s mate of the Denver, for the reason that he was so known at the department, and drew his pay as such. But, as a matter of fact, Mr.Keegan’s status, and the scope of his influence on board that ship, would be as hard to define as the duties of the captain set forth in the new regulations. His friend the master-at-arms consulted him on all matters of importance; the junior officers of the ship never interfered with anything he might be doing; and the seniors showed unwonted deference to his opinions. As the Denver drew more and more under the lee of the land the whitecaps subsided into lateral swells, and the wind was no longer felt. On board active preparations were being made for coming to anchor, but with that noticeable absence of noise and bustle which is so characteristic of a modern man-of-war. Boat crews were clearing their boats for hoisting out, the lashings were being taken off the gangways, and the booms were ready to drop with the anchor. The master-at-arms shook the ashes out of his pipe, and broke the silence.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

What's the Matter with White People? is about the heart and soul of America, from our Founding Fathers to Hillary and Barack.It's about our middle class, which so recently flourished, and how it has been injured and diminished almost beyond repair by greed and racist fear-mongering. It's about America's greatness and delusion, the betrayal of the working class, and the fragmentation of the Democratic party. It's about how Walsh's own Irish Catholic family from New York was treated, responded and fared in the years between Richard Nixon and Barack Obama Walsh writes with passion, precision, and insight into how racism has made such a bold public comeback. Her book was heaven for a political junkie like me, somehow managing to be painful and exhilarating at the same time." --Anne Lamott"Joan Walsh's reflections and observations from her personal journey as an Irish Catholic daughter of a Northeastern blue collar family provide a unique window into the hearts, aspirations, anguish, anger, fears, and pride of white working class voters during the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. No one can properly understand current class politics and race relations in America unless they've read this book." --Dr. Clarence B. JonesThe size and stability of the American middle class were once the envy of the world. But changes unleashed in the 1960s pitted Americans against one another politically in new and destructive ways. These battles continued to rage from that day to now, while everyone has fallen behind economically except the wealthy. Right-wing culture warriors blamed the decline on the moral shortcomings of "other" Americans--black people, feminists, gays, immigrants, union members--to court a fearful white working- and middle-class base with ever more bitter "us vs. them" politics. Liberals tried, but mostly failed, to make the case that we're all in this together.In What's the Matter with White People?, popular Salon columnist Joan Walsh argues that the biggest divide in America today is not about party or ideology, but about two competing narratives for why everything has fallen apart since the 1970s. One side sees an America that has spent the last forty years bankrupting the country providing benefits and advantages to the underachieving, the immoral, and the undeserving, no matter the cost to Middle America. The other sees an America that has spent the last forty years bankrupting the country providing benefits and advantages to the very rich, while allowing a measure of cultural progress for the different and the downtrodden. It matters which side is right, and how the other side got things so wrong.Walsh connects the dots of American decline through trends that began in the 1970s and continue today--including the demise of unions, the stagnation of middle-class wages, the extension of the right's "Southern Strategy" throughout the country, the victory of Reagan Republicanism, the increase in income inequality, and the drop in economic mobility.Citing her extended family as a case in point, Walsh shows how liberals unwittingly collaborated in the "us vs. them" narrative, rather than developing an inspiring, persuasive vision of a more fair, united America. She also explores how the GOP's renew

Dropping the Eyelids Nonfiction for the Soul【電子書籍】[ Ernest Dempsey ]

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Dropping the Eyelids Nonfiction for the Soul【電子書籍】[ Ernest Dempsey ]

In this latest collection of nonfiction stories and essays, Ernest Dempsey takes readers to the darker corners of human consciousness that make the boundary of our collective vulnerabilities. In these pages, readers will walk through episodes of heartbreak and grief, memories of childhood peace oblivious to the violence lurking in future, and daggers of disillusionment slashing the great expectations out of a naive heart.

While themes of these stories and essays are varied, due to multiple accounts weaved around real-life deaths, Dropping the Eyelids can be called Dempsey's unofficial sequel to his short fiction book The Blue Fairy and Other Tales of Transcendence (Modern History Press, 2009). However, the narration and mode of the entries in this collection are more critical, self-conscious, and poignant than reassuring and veiled.

Dropping the Eyelids is a book of nonfiction for the soul, and at the same time it marks a campsite for the author, who ventures into the creative wilderness--unarmed but undeterred.

Learn more at www.ErnestDempsey.com

From Modern History Press www.ModernHistoryPress.com
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

Complete Stories of American Authors for various authors

April 4, 1857.ーI have changed my sky without changing my mind. I resume these old notes in a new world. I hardly know of what use they are; but it's easier to stick to the habit than to drop it. I have been at home now a weekーat home, forsooth! And yet, after all, it is home. I am dejected, I am bored, I am blue. How can a man be more at home than that? Nevertheless, I am the citizen of a great country, and for that matter, of a great city. I walked to-day some ten miles or so along Broadway, and on the whole I don't blush for my native land. We are a capable race and a good-looking withal; and I don't see why we shouldn't prosper as well as another. This, by the way, ought to be a very encouraging reflection. A capable fellow and a good-looking withal; I don't see why he shouldn't die a millionaire. April 4, 1857.ーI have changed my sky without changing my mind. I resume these old notes in a new world. Dreamweavers Among Us: Book One - Red【電子書籍】[ Ross Peacock ]

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Dreamweavers Among Us: Book One - Red【電子書籍】[ Ross Peacock ]

Will Green enters, as we do, into the nearly-magic world of Draumrs. He is one: a Draumr, but until this day, when his grandfather finally lets him remember, he has had no sense of his true abilities or of his destiny. He knows only that he has the most enticing and, let's call it: horny, dreams of anyone he knows. Dreams he mostly forgets in the morning.

Now on a bewildering guided journey into and out of the revealed dreamscape, he learns that he has the ability to control what he dreams and what others dream. Fantasy seduction, far from being imaginary, is an actual contact sport played by sensual women and men, who understand that in dreams there are few rules and never any regrets. Will has long been one of their favorite dream lovers. Now, slightly embarrassed, he is meeting them again and realizing that his lurid dreams have all been real.

Unfortunately, Will has no time to revel in his new understanding. He must quickly learn how to survive in physical combat on the dreamscape from the brilliant Snow White and deadly Lulu Black, both of whom have skills he can't even 'dream-of'. They will be young lovers of course, but for now, the trio is the only hope for stopping a nightmare-driven scenario that could once again plunge the world into all-out war.

An ancient evil plagues the Draumr Clans. Forbidden artifacts have resurfaced and a failing Elder sees one last chance for glory in their power. His stunning and devoted daughter, Xana Chernoyiv, is his chosen weapon. Her mastery of the dreamscape makes her the most dangerous sensual being on earth. No man and possibly, no woman, no matter their ability, can stand alone against her as she perfects deadly ancient skills on innocent dreamers. Only her father knows who the eventual target of those devastating skills will be. Only by acting in unison against Xana, do Snow, Lulu and Will have any hope of derailing the scheme.

The Draumr Clans of the Colors have existed for millennia, but they remain hidden in plain sight. The extended family members most often choose to just be an occasional peaceful and loving dream partner for those in need. A few ascend to the Circles and take on loftier responsibilities. For the primary six of the First Circle, world peace is actually their responsibility. Their forbearers have failed at the task many times. It's almost predictable; they are, after all, only human. But, this time failure could mean destruction of humankind in nuclear annihilation. The stakes are high.

In book one: Red, we are taken from the wilds of northern Canada, to the peaks of the Andes,and back to small town America on a fantasy game board that exists in the dreamscape and in the real world all at once. Who is enemy and who is friend? How many innocents will be casualties in the battle between the standard bearers for what is good and for what is evil? Then, there is the dream sex. Whether as a tactic or simply giving in to desire; the fiercest of Draumr combatants have been known to drop armor for a few hours of intense carnal armistice.

In book two: Blue, as the fight moves to New York's lower east side, to the Black Sea coast and then off to Asia, as we learn that all is not as it seems and that a greater evil than any had conceived before is emergent in the East. Will sworn enemies fight together or continue to fight each other when a dark cloud threatens to blot out all light for both of them? Is there really a boundary between dreaming and waking? If you die in your dream, have you died for real? With powerful ancient practices full engaged, death is only a misstep away. Just when it appeared that the stakes could go no higher, a new round is dealt and all must decide whether the price of playing is just too dear.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Sushi Eats & Sexy Treats: The Many Pleasures of Michael Ito (All-You-Can-Eat Part 1)【電子書籍】[ Aeris T. Wolfchase ]

Do you ever wonder the thoughts that are going on in a sushi chef while you dine in?

Is it just solely work related thoughts or is it much deeper than that?

When beautiful women come through those restaurant doors, what fantasies are going on in a sushi chef's mind?

After reading this, you might not look at sushi chefs the same way again...

This is a fictional short story erotica.

Here's an excerpt to get your tingle on:

Bianca was the kind of woman who turned heads wherever she went. Tall, well dressed,with amazing posture and beautiful features. She carried herself with pride, and even though she had to be pushing fifty, you wouldn't know it to look at her.
Her blue eyes were bright, always made up in the best way to show off that beautiful color, and her blonde hair was always done well, usually cascading over her shoulders in soft waves.

She had a body that wouldn't quit, too, proof that she took care of herself. Probably a result of yoga and fitness classes that she could obviously afford. Her clothes looked expensive, and whenever she came into the restaurant she always ordered the sashimi platter and a hot sake, eating her food with grace and poise.

Michael couldn't help but watch the way she brought each succulent piece of fish to her red lips, those white teeth flashing as she took a bite. He watched those full lips and that pink tongue when it darted out to catch a drop of soy sauce before it fell. That perfect mouth, so refined. He wanted to hear her crying out his name, spewing filth as she begged him for more.

He wanted those lips parted in pleasure, her breathing ragged, her back arched. He wanted to see what was under those clothes, that tight body and soft skin. She probably tasted amazing, and he wanted to savor her the same way she was savoring her meal. To sip from her body like it was a sake cup and then smack his lips at the end in satisfaction, like a diner who had just experienced the most exquisite meal.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

The Man From Snowy River【電子書籍】[ Andrew Barton Paterson ]

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】The Man From Snowy River【電子書籍】[ Andrew Barton Paterson ]

Old Pardon, the Son of Reprieve You never heard tell of the story? Well, now, I can hardly believe! Never heard of the honour and glory Of Pardon, the son of Reprieve? But maybe you're only a Johnnie And don't know a horse from a hoe? Well, well, don't get angry, my sonny, But, really, a young un should know. They bred him out back on the 'Never', His mOther was Mameluke breed. To the front ー and then stay there ー was ever The root of the Mameluke creed. He seemed to inherit their wiry Strong frames ー and their pluck to receive ー As hard as a flint and as fiery Was Pardon, the son of Reprieve. We ran him at many a meeting At crossing and gully and town, And nothing could give him a beating ー At least when our money was down. For weight wouldn't stop him, nor distance, Nor odds, though the Others were fast, He'd race with a dogged persistence, And wear them all down at the last. At the Turon the Yattendon filly Led by lengths at the mile-and-a-half, And we all began to look silly, While HER crowd were starting to laugh; But the old horse came faster and faster, His pluck told its tale, and his strength, He gained on her, caught her, and passed her, And won it, hands-down, by a length. And then we swooped down on Menindie To run for the President's Cup ー Oh! that's a sweet township ー a shindy To them is board, lodging, and sup. Eye-openers they are, and their system Is never to suffer defeat; It's 'win, tie, or wrangle' ー to best 'em You must lose 'em, or else it's 'dead heat'. We strolled down the township and found 'em At drinking and gaming and play; If sorrows they had, why they drowned 'em, And betting was soon under way. Their horses were good 'uns and fit 'uns, There was plenty of cash in the town; They backed their own horses like Britons, And, Lord! how WE rattled it down! With gladness we thought of the morrow, We counted our wagers with glee, A simile homely to borrow ー 'There was plenty of milk in our tea.' You see we were green; and we never Had even a thought of foul play, Though we well might have known that the clever Division would 'put us away'. Experience 'docet', they tell us, At least so I've frequently heard, But, 'dosing' or 'stuffing', those fellows Were up to each move on the board: They got to his stall ー it is sinful To think what such villains would do ー And they gave him a regular skinful Of barley ー green barley ー to chew. He munched it all night, and we found him Next morning as full as a hog ー The girths wouldn't nearly meet round him; He looked like an overfed frog. We saw we were done like a dinner ー The odds were a thousand to one Against Pardon turning up winner, 'Twas cruel to ask him to run. We got to the course with our troubles, A crestfallen couple were we; And we heard the 'books' calling the doubles ー A roar like the surf of the sea; And over the tumult and louder Rang 'Any price Pardon, I lay!' Says Jimmy, 'The children of Judah Are out on the warpath to-day.' Three miles in three heats: ー Ah, my sonny, The horses in those days were stout, They had to run well to win money; I don't see such horses about. Your six-furlong vermin that scamper Half-a-mile with their feather-weight up; They wouldn't earn much of their damper In a race like the President's Cup. The first heat was soon set a-going; The Dancer went off to the front; The Don on his quarters was showing, With Pardon right out of the hunt. He rolled and he weltered and wallowed ー You'd kick your hat faster, I'll bet; They finished all bunched, and he followed All lathered and dripping with sweat. But troubles came thicker upon us, For while we were rubbing him dry The stewards came over to warn us: 'We hear you are running a bye! If Pardon don't spiel like tarnation And win the next heat ー if he can ー He'll earn a disqualification; Just think over THAT, now, my man!' Our money all gone and our credit, Our horse couldn't gallop a yard; And then people thought that WE did it! It really was terribly hard. We were objects of mirth and derision To folk in the lawn and the stand, And the yells of the clever division Of 'Any price Pardon!' were grand. We still had a chance for the money, Two heats still remained to be run; If both fell to us ー why, my sonny, The clever division were done. And Pardon was better, we reckoned, His sickness was passing away, So he went to the post for the second And principal heat of the day. They're off and away with a rattle, Like dogs from the leashes let slip, And right at the back of the battle He followed them under the whip. They gained ten good lengths on him quickly He dropped right away from the pack; I tell you it made me feel sickly To see the blue jacket fall back. Our very last hope had departed ー We thought the old fellow was done, When all of a sudden he started To go like a shot from a gun. His chances seemed slight to embolden Our hearts; but, with teeth firmly set, We thought, 'Now or never! The old 'un May reckon with some of 'em yet.' Then loud rose the war-cry for Pardon; He swept like the wind down the dip, And over the rise by the garden, The jockey was done with the whip The field were at sixes and sevens ー The pace at the first had been fast ー And hope seemed to drop from the heavens, For Pardon was coming at last. And how he did come! It was splendid; He gained on them yards every bound, Stretching out like a greyhound extended, His girth laid right down on the ground. A shimmer of silk in the cedars As into the running they wheeled, And out flashed the whips on the leaders, For Pardon had collared the field. Then right through the ruck he came sailing ー I knew that the battle was won ー The son of Haphazard was failing, The Yattendon filly was done; He cut down the Don and the Dancer, He raced clean away from the mare ー He's in front! Catch him now if you can, sir! And up went my hat in the air! Then loud from the lawn and the garden Rose offers of 'Ten to one ON!' 'Who'll bet on the field? I back Pardon!' No use; all the money was gone. He came for the third heat light-hearted, A-jumping and dancing about; The Others were done ere they started Crestfallen, and tired, and worn out. He won it, and ran it much faster Than even the first, I believe Oh, he was the daddy, the master, Was Pardon, the son of Reprieve. He showed 'em the method to travel ー The boy sat as still as a stone ー They never could see him for gravel; He came in hard-held, and alone. . . . . . But he's old ー and his eyes are grown hollow; Like me, with my thatch of the snow; When he dies, then I hope I may follow, And go where the racehorses go. I don't want no harping nor singing ー Such things with my style don't agree; Where the hoofs of the horses are ringing There's music sufficient for me. And surely the thoroughbred horses Will rise up again and begin Fresh races on far-away courses, And p'raps they might let me slip in. It would look rather well the race-card on 'Mongst Cherubs and Seraphs and things, 'Angel Harrison's black gelding Pardon, Blue halo, white body and wings.' And if they have racing hereafter, (And who is to say they will not?) When the cheers and the shouting and laughter Proclaim that the battle grows hot; As they come down the racecourse a-steering, He'll rush to the front, I believe; And you'll hear the great multitude cheering For Pardon, the son of Reprieve. Clancy of the Overflow I had written him a letter which I had, for want of better Knowledge, sent to where I met him down the Lachlan, years ago, He was shearing when I knew him, so I sent the letter to him, Just 'on spec', addressed as follows, 'Clancy, of The Overflow'. And an answer came directed in a writing unexpected, (And I think the same was written with a thumb-nail dipped in tar) 'Twas his shearing mate who wrote it, and verbatim I will quote it: 'Clancy's gone to Queensland droving, and we don't know where he are.' . . . . . In my wild erratic fancy visions come to me of Clancy Gone a-droving 'down the Cooper' where the Western drovers go; As the stock are slowly stringing, Clancy rides behind them singing, For the drover's life has pleasures that the townsfolk never know. And the bush hath friends to meet him, and their kindly voices greet him In the murmur of the breezes and the river on its bars, And he sees the vision splendid of the sunlit plains extended, And at night the wond'rous glory of the everlasting stars. . . . . . I am sitting in my dingy little office, where a stingy Ray of sunlight struggles feebly down between the houses tall, And the foetid air and gritty of the dusty, dirty city Through the open window floating, spreads its foulness over all And in place of lowing cattle, I can hear the fiendish rattle Of the tramways and the 'buses making hurry down the street, And the language uninviting of the gutter children fighting, Comes fitfully and faintly through the ceaseless tramp of feet. And the hurrying people daunt me, and their pallid faces haunt me As they shoulder one anOther in their rush and nervous haste, With their eager eyes and greedy, and their stunted forms and weedy, For townsfolk have no time to grow, they have no time to waste. And I somehow rather fancy that I'd like to change with Clancy, Like to take a turn at droving where the seasons come and go, While he faced the round eternal of the cash-book and the journal ー But I doubt he'd suit the office, Clancy, of 'The Overflow'. Momma's Toy Boy【電子書籍】[ Alexi Fall ]

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Momma's Toy Boy【電子書籍】[ Alexi Fall ]

Dani and Jack Labelle are your average mother and son. She’s controlling, and he’s rebellious. She works hard, and he coasts along. She dolls herself up, and he can barely manage an old tee and boxers. Sometimes, it’s all Dani can do to not strangle her lazy, careless and self-centered son. But what keeps Jack safe from his mother’s wrath is the one thing Dani loves more than anything else in the world.

Her son’s cock.

So the Labelles might get under each other’s skin, but more often than not, they’re just getting under each other’s clothes.

~~~~~ Excerpt ~~~~~
A spotless, silver BMW X5 pulled up by the school, and the students watched a middle-aged woman step out from the driver’s seat. This woman never failed to drop jaws. Her D-Cup bust was dangerously close to bursting out of her red tube top. Her black leggings hugged exceptionally wide hips and a pair of thighs that could bring down empires. Large, round sunglasses obscured her eyes. Her chestnut locks moved freely in the afternoon wind. “Jesus H. Christ. I’d sell my kidneys just to get a taste of her.”
“My dad knows a guy. Want to set something up?”
Jack turned to the unfamiliar tenth-grader who had made the quip about that woman and threw him a murderous look. Those who hadn’t noticed the sudden change in his demeanor simply stared at the woman as she bent forward to adjust her heeled leather sandal. As high school boys were wont to do, they drooled at the sight of her endless cleavage.
“She’s Labelle’s,” one of Jack’s classmates remarked. The tenth-grader tried to avoid Jack’s glare, and eventually uttered an insincere “Hey man, I was only joking,” and became unusually preoccupied with his shoes.
Giving the barest of farewells to his compatriots, Jack approached the woman, kissed her cheek, and made his way to the driver’s side. He turned on the ignition, drowning out any final comments the boys made.
“Hey, you,” the woman said, hooking her sunglasses on her neckline. Her eyes were a wicked blue like Jack’s, only lighter. Jack’s eyes were the open ocean; Dani’s were two sculpted shards
of ice.
“Hey,” he responded before pulling away of the school.
“Bearable day?”
Jack only gave the briefest of murmurs before veering off to one of the side streets a few blocks away from the school.
This was not their usual route home. “What are you??” he began, before Jack pressed his mouth to hers and dug his fingers into her thick thigh. Dani made a small, protesting sound, which soon turned to delighted moans. She stretched her tongue into his mouth and he sucked it. Her saliva was sweet, and very familiar.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。
