Tears to Triumph The Spiritual Journey from Suffering to Enlightenment【電子書籍】[ Marianne Williamson ]

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Tears to Triumph The Spiritual Journey from Suffering to Enlightenment【電子書籍】[ Marianne Williamson ]

Heal by embracing your pain with #1 New York Times bestselling author Marianne Williamson ? preorder her latest, The Mystic Jesus, picking up where A Return to Love left off

The internationally recognized teacher, speaker, and New York Times bestselling author of A Return to Love argues that our desire to avoid pain is actually detrimental to our lives, disconnecting us from our deepest emotions and preventing true healing and spiritual transcendence.

Marianne Williamson is a bestselling author, world-renowned teacher, and one of the most important spiritual voices of our time. In Tears to Triumph, she argues that weーas a culture and as individualsーhave learned to avoid facing pain. By doing so, we are neglecting the spiritual work of healing.

Instead of allowing ourselves to embrace our hurt, we numb it, medicate it, dismiss it, or otherwise divert our attention so that we never have to face it. In refusing to acknowledge our suffering, we actually prolong it and deny ourselves the opportunity for profound wisdomーultimately limiting our personal growth and opportunity for enlightenment. Frozen by denial, we are left standing in the breech. Whole industries profit from this immobility, and while they have grown rich, we have become spiritually poorer.

As Marianne makes clear, true healing and transcendence can only come when we finally face our pain and wrestle with what it has to teach us. Written with warm compassion and profound wisdom, Tears to Triumph offers us a powerful way forward through the pain, to a deeper awareness of our feelings, our lives, and our true selves.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

Escape From Capitalism Economics is Political, and Other Liberating Truths【電子書籍】[ Clara E. Mattei ]

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Escape From Capitalism Economics is Political, and Other Liberating Truths【電子書籍】[ Clara E. Mattei ]

Economics is sold as pure and apolitical: scientific, neutral, exact. This urgent book exposes its true role: to convince us there’s no alternative to capitalism.

We live in a world dominated by the dogma that austerity is necessary, unemployment natural, endless wars inevitable and central banks all-powerful. It doesn’t have to be this way.

In her bold, ground-breaking manifesto, economist Clara E. Mattei tears the mask off our economic system. She unpacks key concepts like growth, inflation, unemployment and balanced budgets to show how they’re weaponized to enforce market dependence, not freedom, stripping us of the power to shape the democratic decisions that govern our daily lives. Enduring problems such as poverty and inequality are not accidents or bugs in the economy, but core features ? justified with pseudoscientific models to support a system that unfairly rewards people with the most resources.

Why should we accept this? Capitalism, Mattei argues, isn’t inevitable, scientific, or natural ? it's a relatively young system that can be replaced. Inspired by a lineage of political resistance, Escape from Capitalism calls for us to challenge the broken economics of our times, and pave the way towards liberation.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

Cowboy Up! Life Lessons from the Lazy B【電子書籍】[ H. Alan Day ]

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Cowboy Up! Life Lessons from the Lazy B【電子書籍】[ H. Alan Day ]

"His stories are timeless lessons of living, loving, and learning the Western way of life that will inspire all generations." ーStuart Rosebrook, author of At Work in Arizona
If you're served a piece of humble pie, thank the server and choke it down. So says H. Alan Day, an award-winning author and American cowboy, who grew up on a 200,000-acre southwestern cattle ranch, made a hand at age five, and lived adventures most of us only witness on Netflix.
While interacting with cowhands, horses, and the land, Alan learned valuable life lessons about loyalty, trust, humility, forgiveness, persistence, failure, innovation, and success. Now, this cowboy is ready to share his hard-earned wisdom with those who may never own or even ride a horse, much less rope a cow, train a wild mustang, or witch a well, but who, like Alan, contend day-in and day-out with the true grit of life.
Cowboy Up! is a collection of thirty-five personal stories narrated by Alan Day in his authentic western voice. These stories touch on topics that affect us all: friendship, family, business, politics, community, and conservation. As Alan learned early on, a true friend has your back for life, whether that friend has two legs or four legs. If you don't learn to listen, you may end up swinging from your suspenders on a bunkhouse hook; and if your pickup is about to get washed away in a flash flood, you better do some quick, two-step thinking. Alan's stories not only explore what it means to be human, they evoke laughter, disbelief, wonder, joy, and more than a few heartfelt tears.
FINALIST New Mexico-Arizona Book Award
FINALIST Arizona Authors Association Book Award
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

ECPA Top Shelf Book Cover Award

We need to rediscover lament to heal and hope again.

We've lost the practice of lament. Most people don't know how to process personal or communal mourning and instead struggle to honor their tears, vulnerability, and the full weight of these disillusioning times. But tending our grief might be exactly what we need to reimagine a way forward.

Tracing her difficult experiences of a catastrophic home fire, a threat to her child's well-being, and other devastating losses and upheavals, Terra McDaniel offers a clear framework for expressing heartache and burdens. McDaniel says, "Lament is surprisingly hopeful. As strange as that may sound now, I promise it's true. It's an act of trust both that we can face pain and survive, and that God cares about our anger, confusion, doubt, grief, and fear. Lament refuses to bury pain or, just as dangerous, to give in to despair."

Hopeful Lament makes space for the powerful act of crying out before a loving God and offers provoking reflection questions, embodied practices, and applications for families with children.
**An instant New York Times bestseller. Over 1 million copies sold!

Two spiritual giants. Five days. One timeless question.**

Nobel Peace Prize Laureates His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu have survived more than fifty years of exile and the soul-crushing violence of oppression. Despite their hardshipsーor, as they would say, because of themーthey are two of the most joyful people on the planet.

In April 2015, Archbishop Tutu traveled to the Dalai Lama's home in Dharamsala, India, to celebrate His Holiness's eightieth birthday and to create what they hoped would be a gift for others. They looked back on their long lives to answer a single burning question: How do we find joy in the face of life's inevitable suffering?

They traded intimate stories, teased each other continually, and shared their spiritual practices. By the end of a week filled with laughter and punctuated with tears, these two global heroes had stared into the abyss and despair of our time and revealed how to live a life brimming with joy.

This book offers us a rare opportunity to experience their astonishing and unprecedented week together, from the first embrace to the final good-bye.

We get to listen as they explore the Nature of True Joy and confront each of the Obstacles of Joyーfrom fear, stress, and anger to grief, illness, and death. They then offer us the Eight Pillars of Joy, which provide the foundation for lasting happiness. Throughout, they include stories, wisdom, and science. Finally, they share their daily Joy Practices that anchor their own emotional and spiritual lives.

The Archbishop has never claimed sainthood, and the Dalai Lama considers himself a simple monk. In this unique collaboration, they offer us the reflection of real lives filled with pain and turmoil in the midst of which they have been able to discover a level of peace, of courage, and of joy to which we can all aspire in our own lives.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

Everyone wants to know if they could do the impossible. Few of us will ever try.

Alyssa Ages was the strongest she’d ever been, able to flip monster truck tires and walk with 300 pounds on her back. She felt invincible, until the day her body betrayed her, leaving her vulnerable and grasping for control. Rebuilding her strength slowly brought her back to life. She began to wonder: What if strength isn't about how much we can lift? What if it's about how we manage life’s struggles?

In Secrets of Giants, Ages, now a mom of two, embarks on an immersive journey to the fringe of the weight-lifting world, the sport of strongman. She hoists kegs and lifts boulders in suburban parking lots, attempts to pull a 50-ton truck using only a rope, and occasionally frightens her neighbors by dragging a sled full of weights down her quiet tree-lined street. She meets a powerlifter-turned-boxer who shares how lifting taught her to become a master of the mundane. A ten-time World’s Strongest Man competitor is brought to tears illustrating how the gym helped him survive an abusive childhood. A pro strongwoman muses on managing setbacks before stepping on stage to deadlift the weight of a baby grand piano. Psychologists, researchers, and coaches offer insights into the fascinating ways that the pursuit of strength can permeate every aspect of our lives, from building resilience and confidence, to finding joy in discomfort, to teaching us to handle adversity.

Part personal narrative, part research mission, part reckless midlife crisis odyssey, Secrets of Giants uncovers why physical strength matters, and how it teaches us that we’re capable of so much more than we know.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

Because of You, I Learned to Truly Love【電子書籍】[ Abdul Haque Essop ]

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Because of You, I Learned to Truly Love【電子書籍】[ Abdul Haque Essop ]

Love is not just about using the word to silence your partner in questioning any uncertainties or great concerns. But love should be shown in your actions to eliminate every doubt. It is not about giving your partner the most expensive gift that money can buy. But it has to do with the littlest of things thus showing your love for them, which becomes priceless. Ultimately, love has no price tag because money can buy you a good time, but love enriches your body, mind, heart, and soul. For a healthy relationship, refrain from hurting your partner in a manner whereby lying and cheating can totally destroy your relationship. Always remember not to hurt and break a heart that was meant to only love you. In the end, you can stand to lose that love and the person who stood by you, although they know your flaws and still completely accepted you. It is important to note that you shouldnt fool yourself by thinking that you have fooled a person by deceiving and lying to that person who truly loves you and cares about you. Only with time will it be your own guilt that will make you realize that this person always knew, and yet they have constantly forgiven you. Finally, you will certainly hurt when the day you lose that person forever by knowing that you continuously broke their trust. Take heed. When you love from your soul and someone breaks you down completely then those invisible tears become the most difficult to wipe away. To sum up my message to the world, this is my deepest and sincerest belief: Love is not who loves the other more or less but to whether your love for each other is sincere and true. Love is not who was there only when you always smiled but who was there to make you feel better when you broke down and cried. Love is not about who is right or wrong but how you work on the issues and keep your love growing strong. Love is not how many times you thought to walk away but how long you stayed in love and kept your relationship alive.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

The Book of Householder Koans Waking Up in the Land of Attachments【電子書籍】[ Roshi Eve Myonen Marko ]

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】The Book of Householder Koans Waking Up in the Land of Attachments【電子書籍】[ Roshi Eve Myonen Marko ]

"These two extraordinary Zen Teachers offer a cutting-edge immersion into the koans of our actual lives, issue by issue, urging us to plunge in, and be intimate with what actually is, in this very moment. Flowing beneath the surface of these contemporary koans is an ocean of traditional koans and old Buddhist stories and themes, all intermingled with the immediacy of contemporary life. A guaranteed American Zen classic!" ーRoshi Pat Enkyo O'Hara, author of Most Intimate: A Zen Approach to Life's Challenges

"Radical, useful, and wild, this rich collection of householder koans opens a treasure house of wisdom for all. What a wonderful adventure in the practical mind and heart of true Zen and true life." ーRev. Joan Jiko Halifax, Abbot of Upaya Zen Center

“In The Book of Householder Koans Nakao and Marko wonderfully carry into contemporary life the spirit and color of the zen koan tradition in all its mystery and brazennessーand, at the same time, provide a wonderfully wise, knowing, and light-hearted look at how we can live this one precious unrepeatable human life in beauty. The koan stories they provide (submitted by many of their students) are pithy, funny, and perfectly apt for the times we live in. What a lively book!” ーNorman Fischer, poet, Zen priest, and author most recently of The World Could Be Otherwise: Imagination and the Bodhisattva Path

“I was blown away by the force of The Book of Householder Koans as it establishes Western Zen as a new center of enlightenment. Roshis Myonen Eve Marko and Egyoku Wendy Nakao present Zen koans, exquisitely digested from everyday life, that retain the ancient and authentic power to stop you in your tracks while they beckon you onward. Read this book, emerging from two female Zen masters’ lifetimes of practice, and enter an intimate world that opens your awareness in relationship, work, and current worldly puzzles.” ーGrace Schireson, author of Wild-Ass Zen, Enlightenment Wherever You Are, Zen Women: Beyond Tea Ladies, Iron Maidens and Macho Maters, and Naked in the Zendo: Stories of Uptight Zen, and editor of Zen Bridge: The Zen Teachings of Keido Fukushima

“In this wonderful collection, Eve Myonen Marko and Wendy Egyoku Nakao write that Zen is about letting go of our fixed opinions. One opinion about Zen, when it came to this country, is that it is for monks and priests who live in monasteries or as hermits. In fact, most Zen students nowadays are householders who have issues that are different from those of our ancestor monks in China. The training for priests cannot be the same as the training for householders. Householders’ lives are messy. Roshis Eve and Wendy use the ancient wisdom of Zen to illuminate modern-day practice. Their insight and compassion have provided us with an important collection of koan stories that illustrate how Zen can bring deep insight to all meditators, whether householders, the homeless, women, men, or even ordained priests.” ーRoshi Gerry Shishin Wick, spiritual director of Great Mountain Zen Center, and author of The Book of Equanimity: Illuminating Classic Zen Koans

“The only real Zen is the Zen of our actual lived lives. Zen’s koans are stories that take us to where we really live, that show us who we are when we let go of the false stories we’ve been trapped within. The collections of these true stories, which open our hearts, started in China. And China gave us many that we cherish to this day. Others come from Korea and Vietnam and Japan. And now, in The Book of Householder Koans, we are given a selection collected from four Western countries by two preeminent American Zen masters. And this is real Zen. These are the true stories of who we have always been from before the creation of the stars and planets. This is Zen made out of our bones and marrow, our tears and laughter. This amazing book is one of a handful written in this time that will be recalled as classics of our way. If you’ve never practiced Zen, read this book. If Zen has been your way for 40 years, read this book. It opens our way and reminds us of where to find it. The Book of Householder Koans is a direct pointing to our heart’s longing. True stories.” ーJames Ishmael Ford, author of Introduction to Zen Koans and If You're Lucky, Your Heart Will Break

“The Book of Householder Koans is like a sumptuous feast. The teachings, deep-rooted in Zen practice, bring to the table all the ingredients of our life, including heartbreak, fury, and joy. This book shows us that in each moment there is an opportunity to enter a gate to wakefulness, receptivity, and love. Savor each morsel!”ーSensei Koshin Paley Ellison, author of Wholehearted: Slow Down, Help Out, Wake Up

“The Book of Householder Koans is a remarkable, inspiring, and ground-breaking book that revolutionizes the age-old tradition of Zen koan practice and plunges it right into the heart of our contemporary, 21st-century lives. As Zen teachers, authors Nakao and Marko have been deeply immersed for decades in the practice of life clarifying itself right in the midst of its most knotty challenges and confusions. Along with 66 new koans gathered from householders around the world, they offer their profound insight and expertise to help contemporary readers spring open even the most seemingly unresolvable of personal, modern dilemmas. Beautifully written with a life-affirming wisdom and spirit, this book will come to be a modern classic that helps us to live with a clarity, freedom, and joy beyond what we had imagined possible. Open the covers, take the plunge!” ーPeter Levitt, author of The Complete Cold Mountain: Poems of the Legendary Hermit Hanshan and One Hundred Butterflies, and guiding teacher of Salt Spring Zen Circle in British Columbia

“A wonderful book on koan comparable with koan books from the Song Dynasty China. Wendy and Eve pull no punches in laying out Zen practice in daily life and the challenges we face in leading a full and inclusive life. In fact, they leave no places to escape to. They deal with everything: relationship, work, family, aging, addiction, emotion, and ambiguity, to mention but a few. I don’t usually read Zen books, yet this one had me riveted from page one. All they left me after reading, was to just do it.” ーRoshi Charles Tenshin Fletcher, abbot of Yokoji Zen Mountain Center and author of The Way of Zen

“I wish I’d been able to read the Book of Householders Koans to help integrate practice with my everyday life when I started Zen training. This book is not only for householders, it’s for everyone. Using both the rich stories of ancient Zen masters and current everyday people, the authors explore the human journey: relationships, raising children, work, illness, old age, death, how to ground spiritual practice. This book is a guide for collective awakening, as if one were sitting in a circle with friends with everyone being heard fromーsharing their questions, dilemmas, learnings transparently and intimately. And from that sharing, the reader’s heart-mind-spirit is expanded through the common threads that unite us all, grounded in the everyday, no matter where we are in our life. The wisdom of these two Zen teachers, Egyoku Roshi and Myonen Roshi, is very accessible, encouraging and freeing. I highly recommend this bookーit’s a treasure trove, a true find!" ーNicolee Jikyo McMahon Roshi, marriage and family therapist

“This beautiful book is an important resource for Zen in our time. This collection opens our eyes to the koan of our life right now. Easy and fun to read, the householder koans are not just for Zen students, but relatable for all. Maezumi Roshi would encourage his students to study the ancient texts, and then he would say ‘I want you to create the modern Shobogenzo (Treasury of the True Dharma Eye).’ Reading the householder koans, I felt that I was encountering a fresh expression of true dharma that maintains the spiritual rigor of old texts. I love these new koans. I love how the layout is reminiscent of traditional koan presentation with verses and comments. And I love how relevant these koans are for our time. The authors are encouraging all of us to create our own householder koans, and I am finding myself seeing koan everywhere. It is a lot of fun and encourages me to see my whole life as spiritual practice. Congratulations to the authors for creating a seminal work. It is a gift for everyone who wants to deepen their appreciation of life.” ーAnne Seisen Saunders, Abbot, Sweetwater Zen Center; President, White Plum Asanga

“Amidst the hustle, bustle, and fragmentation of today’s worldーtaking care of the kids, dealing with disappointments and relationships, facing illness and old ageーThe Book of Householder Koans reminds us that koans are not separate from our life but are, indeed, the stuff of living and loving. Filled with real-life situations shared by people around the world, this wonderful book takes koan practice to a new level, encouraging us to open to all aspects of daily life and to embrace its richness. This is a book to be savored.” ーDiane Rizzetto, author of Waking Up to What You Do and Deep Hope

“Thank you, thank you, thank you…! At last, here is a book that highlights the awakenings of everyday people in the midst of heart-rending, courageous challenges. Grab a copy of The Book of Householder Koans and you will experience a remarkable shift in Zen literature, one that closes the gap between contemporary practitioners and our ancestors. ADHD and Money【電子書籍】[ Jiyeon Lee ]

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】ADHD and Money【電子書籍】[ Jiyeon Lee ]

ADHD makes self-management challenging, and money management is also difficult. A proper mindset about money must precede financial freedom. Rather than blindly rushing towards money, it's essential to pause and clarify what money is, what mindset one should have, and organize our thoughts and emotions first to establish a healthy relationship with money.

Often, the thoughts about money we accidentally picked up from parents and teachers during childhood can dominate our thinking. As someone who used to live as a consumer and laborer, I changed my perspective on money and became liberated from it. Now, I live as a producer and investor. Through this book, I hope you achieve wealth with a wholesome and proper mindset about money.

It is said that wealth given by God does not come with anxiety. Wealth without worry will make life happier.

----

The ability to earn money comes from where?

"Remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today." - Deuteronomy 8:18

The statement in Deuteronomy 8:18 suggests that God grants people the ability to acquire wealth, specifically the capability to earn money. Money comes through work. In Korean four pillars of destiny, It is said that one can become wealthy by earning money and acquiring assets such as real estate. Money is a result of work. Work can love us back, and abundantly so.

If a woman does not have her own work, she may end up relying on her husband or parents, leading a dependent and precarious life. While everyone is born with different fortunes and innate abilities, it is said that reading about ten thousand books can change one's fate. What becomes of someone who has made such efforts? In my youth, I struggled to find my identity in human relationships, and my self-esteem was barely sustained through my studies, intellect, and work. It is said that a nation that memorizes prayers will not perish. Of course, there is the assistance of fervent prayers to God, but knowing the prayers also increases the likelihood of reading the Bible. The Bible is a book that goes beyond circumstances, providing wisdom to overcome difficulties. I, having read the Bible nearly fifty times over from my twenties to thirties, find self-esteem in the person I have become, having overcome challenges.

Some individuals lack the ability to earn money for themselves or cultivate such skills, resorting to subtly exploiting those around them as their main talent for acquiring wealth. This is the case with our stepmother and her children. My brother, father, and I were usually on the giving end, while our stepmother and her children tended to take advantage by subtly siphoning off resources. I only came to realize this as I grew olderーthe fact that our stepmother was adept at thievery and opportunism. Confronting the true identity of the stepmother who raised me was an agonizing experience, to the point where it seemed easier for me to accept being the bad person. Facing the essence of it all revealed the truth hidden within all the lies that had remained unresolved, allowing me to break free from the shackles of exploitation and regain wealth through freedom and my own abilities. Strangely, getting closer to my stepmother and her children consistently led to my increasing poverty. Even though my stepmother had no blood ties with me, if such an individual, completely unrelated by blood, takes advantage of my money, it is nothing less than fraud, theft, and exploitation. Among the tactics used, the one that affected me the most was playing the sympathy card by feigning tears. Therefore, I tend to be cautious and skeptical of people who shed tears for sympathy.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

A Symphony From Heaven is a collection of poems that speak to the whole-man. Your spirit will be stirred by the poetry and scripture references and your mind and emotions will relate to the commentary that gives insight into the poems and the author’s love affair with God. As you read each poem you are gifted with glimpses of conversation between the author and the Holy Spirit that inspire and invite you to experience the same type of relationship.
The refreshingly pure deliverance of each poem catches the reader’s attention, giving them pause in their daily routine and causes them to give into the peace that surrounds them with each written line. The knowledge shared by the author is given throughout the commentary coupled with questions meant to provoke meditation on one’s own relationship with God. There is one message that reverberates throughout the book. God wants a deeper and more intimate relationship with his children. Some of the 50 poems that fill this book may bring tears to your eyes, others, the smarting of conviction and still some others, inspiration and the encouragement that comes from the conveyance of His grace and mercy, but not one duplicates the other or sounds redundant. Happiness in a Sober Glass: Why Everything You Thought Alcohol Gave You Was a Lie and How to Find True Joy【電子書籍】[ Elvin S. Roldan ]

【電子書籍なら、スマホ・パソコンの無料アプリで今すぐ読める!】Happiness in a Sober Glass: Why Everything You Thought Alcohol Gave You Was a Lie and How to Find True Joy【電子書籍】[ Elvin S. Roldan ]

The celebration starts with a clink, the escape pours into a glass, and for a moment, the edge dulls. That's the promise alcohol sells: connection, courage, ease, relief. But somewhere between the first sip and the last swallow of the night, something more important quietly exits the room. It's not the buzz we chaseーit's the illusion. The lie that says we need it to feel alive, loved, or confident. This book confronts that illusion, not with finger-pointing or shame, but with clarity, reason, and empathy.

"Happiness in a Sober Glass" doesn't moralize or preach. It dissects. It opens a door that many hesitate to look behind. It recognizes that alcohol isn't just a drinkーit's a cultural script, a ritual of belonging, a deeply ingrained belief system. We drink to celebrate. We drink to grieve. We drink to unwind. And somewhere along the way, we start to believe that these moments are impossible without it. But the truth is simpler and harder: everything we thought alcohol gave usーpeace, connection, excitement, freedomーwas never real. And what's real is so much better.

Drawing from real-life stories and grounded personal insight, this book asks questions that make the reader pause: What does it actually feel like to wake up with a clear head and a clean conscience? What happens when your joy isn't chemically induced? How does your identity shift when it's no longer tied to what's in your hand at the party, the date, or the dinner table? These questions aren't theoretical. They're practical, lived, and tested.

For anyone who has ever asked themselves why one drink always turns into three, or why they feel anxious after every so-called fun night out, this book offers more than answers. It offers a reframing. A way to reclaim joy from a source that never owned it in the first place. And it starts by stripping alcohol of the powers we've projected onto it. Alcohol doesn't make you socialーyou always were. It doesn't make you interestingーyour stories did. It doesn't make you confidentーpractice and discomfort did that.

This book explores the mechanics of why alcohol tricks us. How it manipulates brain chemistry, hijacks our reward system, and slowly rewires how we view pleasure and coping. It breaks down the social constructs that make abstaining feel like rebellion and drinking feel like conformity. It tracks the quiet erosion of authenticity when drinking becomes the centerpiece of personality, and it shows what it looks like to build a life where you are fully presentーfor the beauty, the boredom, and everything in between.

Readers will explore the psychological contracts we unconsciously sign with alcohol: that it'll take away pain, give us charm, turn the volume down on anxiety. And then the book methodically tears those contracts up. With each chapter, the reader is guided toward a realization that nothing truly valuable has ever required a drink to enjoy. Whether it's falling in love, raising children, healing old wounds, or simply sitting stillーclarity enhances, while alcohol clouds.

This book does not assume everyone who drinks has a problem. It doesn't sort people into addicts and non-addicts. It explores the vast middleーthe people who wonder if they drink too often, but not destructively enough to "quit." The people who say they could stop anytime, but don't. The ones who know deep down that their joy is dulled, their mornings are heavier, their anxiety is louder. For them, this book becomes a mirror and a map.

Readers who commit to the pages of this book will walk away with more than a shift in drinking habits. They'll gain a deeper understanding of how to live without outsourcing joy, how to say no without feeling like they're missing out, and how to rebuild a sense of self that was never dependent on alcohol to begin with.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

Direction of Life【電子書籍】[ Nevzat Keles ]

Pour tears after 5 or 10 years for your time and dreams which you could not make come true. Crash your head on the walls as you haven't done anything about what you could. Whine to your close friends. Get sad. Listen to melancholic music. Complain about the time which is passing so fast. Continue to postpone your goals and dreams to the next years.

You should get rid of your mood being unhappy for the weekdays but just happy for the weekend. Waiting for weekend, holiday or retirement to live is big nonsense. In fact, you are continuously postponing your life without being aware of that. As if you have an evidence for more enough time to come. You prefer to define your happiness under specific circumstances, and most of the time postpone your happiness instead of living the moment. However, the happiness or unhappiness is actually in your hands.
This is a choice. A choice you should make sooner or later. Just like the choice Neo is offered between a red pill and a blue pill to go out of the Matrix. This is the moment of truth and you have to decide now. Will you take the red pill and reject to be prisoned in the Matrix, like all the other people in order to walk on your own path? Or will you take the blue pill and stay in the comfortable simulated reality of the Matrix, like all the other silent and obedient millions of people. In other words, will you reject the chance of building your own life and walking on your own path easily? Yes, this is just up to you.
Now, move on. Get into action and stop postponing yourself and your life. Take a step. Today or even right now. Otherwise, pour tears after 5 or 10 years for your time and dreams which you could not make come true. Crash your head on the walls as you haven't done anything about what you could. Whine to your close friends. Get sad. Listen to melancholic music. Complain about the time which is passing so fast. Continue to postpone your goals and dreams to the next years. If you really want to be successful then for sure you will be. You are the only one who can prevent yourself from being as successful as in your dreams. Means, you are the only one who can stop you.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。
