Frisch und fruchtig duftet er im Glas mit delikater, anziehender Aromatik. Er besitzt eine feine, cremig-weiche Perlage und duftig-seidige Frucht mit zartem, süßlichem Schmelz und sehr guter Vielschichtigkeit. Mit der niedrigen Dosage von 3 Gramm ist er ein Extra Brut und damit deutlich trockener als die meisten Marken-Champagner. Cuvée Oligocène comes off the lieu-dit Pellans, on the Puligny side of Meursault, with 40 year old vines rooted in brown limestone. Profound and flinty at first, this savoury wine courses with energy. After some air time the flintiness moves more into lightly toasted wood, which remains on the lingering finish. Subtle white flowers, green apple, lightly smoked crushed stone, and lemon pith flood the medium bodied palate. Punching quite a bit beyond its weight as a humble Bourgogne Côte d'Or, this is more interesting than many Meursault I've tried of late.＜AG92＞☆

Exhibiting aromas of gooseberries, nectarine, confit citrus and pastry cream, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy but incisive, with a textural attack and a bright, saline finish. It's a blend of 72% Sauvignon Blanc, only 22% S?millon, 5% Sauvignon Gris and 1% Muscadelle. This 32.5-hectare estate is surrounded by the city of Bordeaux, not far from Haut-Brion. In the vineyards, farming is thoughtful, with Esca-infected vines counted and registered by tractor, and both horses and an electric tractor are employed to avoid compacting the soils-and to respect the neighboring dwellings. While the ch?teau isn't organic, the use of chemical products is kept to a minimum, and activity in the estate's beehives is monitored immediately after a treatment to verify that there hasn't been any adverse impact. For a vintage not known for wines of this immense richness and length, this brawny, splendidly endowed Petrus possesses low acidity and high tannin, suggesting that 8-10 years of cellaring are required. The bouquet is magnificent: extraordinarily pure and delineated, bewitching black fruit laced with cedar and graphite, the latter lending an almost Pauillac-like personality. The palate is exactly as I have found the previous dozen or so bottles I have tasted: structured, delineated, intense, aristocratic and imperious. It is less formidable than say, ten years ago, so it has probably just stepped onto its drinking plateau. The acidity is perfectly judged lending freshness and tension, crucial to counterbalance those layers of spicy black fruit that fans out with cedar and graphite (again) towards the finish. You come away with the feeling of having consumed a wine with immense energy, yet with so much more to give over the next three decades, and knowing this property, perhaps even the three decades after that! Parker, Jr. ┃飲み頃： 2028-2078 One of the perfect wines of the vintage, Frederic Engerer challenged me when I tasted the 2010 Latour at the estate, asking, “If you rate the 2009 one hundred, then how can this not be higher?” Well, the scoring system stops at 100, (and has for 34 years,) and will continue for as long as I continue to write about wine. Nevertheless, this blend of 90.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9.5% Merlot, and .5% Petit Verdot hit 14.4% natural alcohol and represents a tiny 36% of their entire production. The pH is about 3.6, which is normal compared to the 3.8 pH of the 2009, that wine being slightly lower in alcohol, hence the combination that makes it more flamboyant and accessible. The 2010 is a liquid skyscraper in the mouth, building layers upon layers of extravagant, if not over-the-top richness with its hints of subtle charcoal, truffle, blackberry, cassis, espresso and notes of toast and graphite. Full-bodied, with wonderfully sweet tannin, it is a mind-boggling, prodigious achievement that should hit its prime in about 15 years, and last for 50 to 100. There is no denying the outrage and recriminations over the decision by the Pinault family and their administrator, Frederic Engerer, to pull Latour off the futures market next year. However, you can still buy these 2010s, although the first two wines are not likely to be released until they have more maturity, which makes sense from my perspective. Perhaps Latour may have offended a few loyal customers who were buying wines as futures, but they are trying to curtail all the interim speculation that occurs with great vintages of their wines (although only God knows what a great vintage of future Latour will bring at seven or eight years after the harvest). As a set of wines, the 2010s may be the Pinaults’ and Engerer’s greatest achievements to date. Of course, I suspect the other first-growth families won’t want to hear that, nor will most of the negociants in Bordeaux, but it’s just the way things are. Frederic Engerer, by no means the most modest of administrators at the first growths, thinks it would be virtually impossible to produce a wine better than this, and he may well be correct. If they gave out Academy Awards for great performances in wine, the Pinaults and Engerer would certainly fetch a few in 2010. P.S. Medium to full-bodied, ample and enveloping, it's suave and sensual, with a fleshy core of fruit and beautifully refined tannins and concludes with a long, rose-inflected finish. Seamless and impressively concentrated, it demonstrates how precocious, well-drained sites such as Le Pin came into their own in the 2021 growing season. It gently builds in the mouth, mustering more and more precision until the finish that delivers lemongrass mixed with orange zest notes. This will be fascinating to revisit after bottling. Full-bodied, deep and concentrated, it's a layered, fleshy wine, with a deep core of ripe but lively fruit, plenty of powdery tannin and a long, expansive, discreetly heady finish. This is a powerful, dramatic Pessac with a transatlantic accent and will drink well with only a few years' bottle age. This 32.5-hectare estate is surrounded by the city of Bordeaux, not far from Haut-Brion. In the vineyards, farming is thoughtful, with Esca-infected vines counted and registered by tractor, and both horses and an electric tractor are employed to avoid compacting the soils-and to respect the neighboring dwellings. While the château isn't organic, the use of chemical products is kept to a minimum, and activity in the estate's beehives is monitored immediately after a treatment to verify that there hasn't been any adverse impact. Planted in red with roughly equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, and in white with roughly equal parts Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, Pape Clément produces some of Pessac-Léognan's richest, most dramatic wines, though recent years have seen a discreet turn toward a somewhat more restrained style, a shift especially obvious in the château's white wine: Merlot is picked a touch earlier than in the past; foudres and large-format oak barrels now supplement 225-liter barriques; and the percentage of new oak is more modest. The style remains, however, rather oaky and extracted-the aesthetic, in other words, of the early 2000s. This was always a feted wine in its youth by Robert Parker and myself. Now at 20 years of age there is fine delineation on the nose with more detail than the 1986 tasted alongside. The oak is a little more present here (50% in this vintage) married with plenty of redcurrant, cedar, loam and undergrowth aromas. These aromatics can develop further. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin on the entry, perhaps one of the most youthful and backward of the 1996s that I tasted during my visits. It feels firm in the mouth, masculine, very Saint Estèphe. To critique this wine, the oak is not quite knitted to the fruit as much as it should after two decades (something that has been addressed now). Parker, Jr. ┃飲み頃： 2004 - 2015 After less than persuasive performances in two potentially great years, 1989 and 1990, Mouton-Rothschild appears to have settled down, producing fine efforts in recent vintages, culminating with the enormously promising, unquestionably profound 1995. The 1993 is a beautifully made wine which could be considered a sleeper of the vintage. The wine boasts a dark purple color, followed by a sweet, pain grillee, roasted nut, and cassis-scented bouquet that is just beginning to open. In the mouth, the wine may not possess the body and volume of a vintage such as 1990 or 1989, but there is more richness of fruit, a sweet, ripe, pureness to the wine, as well as medium body and outstanding balance. This moderately tannic, well-focused, surprisingly rich 1993 is capable of 15-20 years of evolution. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2015. Readers should note that this wine comes with two labels. The original label, with its delicate yet unprovocative portrait nude of a pre-teenager by Balthus, was banned as a result of protests from America's neo-puritans. What has resulted is considerable speculation in the original label, which is selling at $50 more than the blank creamy white-colored label that is "officially" sported by those bottles of Mouton-Rothschild imported to America. Although Mouton-Rothschild can be among the most inconsistent first-growths, when this estate gets everything right, the wine can be as compelling as any produced in Bordeaux. 1997年1月 PP(WAポイント)90 ┃公開媒体： ボルドー第3版 ┃著者： Robert M. Château Mouton Rothschild 赤ワイン 750ml [AOC］ポイヤック 第1級 [評 価］99点 The 2018 Mouton Rothschild is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc—there is also a splash of all the Petit Verdot they had, but it doesn’t even register in the percentage. It has 13.8% alcohol, which is relatively modest for the vintage. Deep garnet-purple colored, it straight away pops with bright, vivacious notes of crushed blackcurrants, juicy blackberries and redcurrant jelly with slowly emerging nuances of candied violets, stewed plums, licorice and black tea, plus a waft of dusty red soil. The medium-bodied palate is built like a brick house with super firm, super ripe, grainy tannins and bold freshness supporting the muscular black fruits, finishing long and savory with lingering mineral suggestions. This is so, so delicious and, due to the ripeness of tannins, approachable now. It will be difficult to keep your mitts off it for a good 5-7 years, when all those tightly tucked away nuances should begin to emerge. In a racy, precise style that will pair well with lighter foods or give pleasure on its own. 92 pointsChartogne Taillet / シャルトーニュ・タイエ かつての『グランクリュ』を現代に復活させるシャンパーニュ新星 名立たる畑と並ぶ価格でぶどうが取引された、かつての『グランクリュ』メルフィ。砂を多く含むメルフィのテロワールならではのふんわり広がる華やかさと複雑さ。次世代を担う生産者として、国内外のワイン専門誌で高い注目度と評価を獲得。 果てしない熱意を持った1983年生まれの30歳。大学の卒業研修でジャック・セロスのアンセルムに師事。多大な影響を受け、2006年に両親が営むシャルトーニュ・タイエに戻った。セロスで学んだことは「ブドウの根をまっすぐ伸ばす方法」と「自然環境を尊重したワイン造り」であると語る彼にとって、畑表面の草だけでなく土中の微生物まで殺して土を不活性化させ、ブドウの樹がまっすぐではなく横方向に根を広げてしまう環境を作り出す除草剤は無用のものだった。その代わり手間はかかるが、野草をコントロールし畑に空気を含ませるために畑を鋤き耕している。馬や機械が入れないほど樹間の狭い畑は人の手で耕すという念の入れようである。 さらに先人の経験と記録にもヒントを求めた。ヴィンテージの出来やブドウの取引について18世紀の初めから代々絶えることなく綴られていたシャルトーニュ・タイエの家長の日記から優れた畑を割り出し、古い文献から昔のメルフィではブドウの樹1本につき4房までしか実をつけさせなかったことを知り、通常の半分以下に収量を抑え、自根で密植されていた当時のスタイルの畑も復活させた。他にも日当たりを良くしてブドウの熟度と糖度を上げるため、他の生産者の畑より長くブドウの枝を切り、ベースワインの発酵には畑の土壌によってステンレスタンク、タマゴ型のコンクリートタンク、バリックを使い分けるなど様々な工夫を凝らしている。 細かな違いがひとつひとつ積み重ねられた彼のワインは、先代の頃に増してミネラル感豊かで土地のエネルギーに溢れている。 かつてのグランクリュ、メルフィとは1683年にブドウ栽培家として創業、1960年代にシャンパーニュ造りを開始したシャルトーニュ・タイエは家族経営のレコルタン・マニピュランである。樹齢の高い区画を尊重し、収量を制限。収穫時には厳密な選果を行い区画ごとに醸造を行うなどテロワールを尊重したワイン造りにより、質の高いシャンパーニュを生みだしてきた。 シャルトーニュ・タイエが位置するのはランスの北西に位置するメルフィという小さな村である。今でこそ知名度は低いが、18世紀にはヴェルズネイやアイなど現在のグランクリュの村と同等の最高ランクの価格でブドウが取引されていたという歴史を持つクオリティの土地である。砂質をベースとした土壌のおかげでフィロキセラからの被害もそれほど大きくなかったが、ランスの街やモンターニュ・ド・ランスの村々を一望できる高台にあることから20世紀の2回の世界大戦では戦略的要地となり、ブドウ畑は徹底的に破壊された。1950年代にようやく畑が再建され始めたが、その頃にはかつての栄光とワイン造りがすっかり失われてしまったという歴史を持つ。 この地の利点は『土壌の多様性』。グランクリュの村の土壌がほぼ粘土とチョークで構成されているのに対し、メルフィは砂質を主体に海抜によって砂岩、粘土、石灰と様々なタイプの土壌が混ざり合い、チョークの下層土を厚く覆っている。クオリティに関する歴史的根拠が確かで、同じ村でもブルゴーニュのように区画ごとのテロワールがこれほど多様な土地は滅多にない。 テロワールへのこだわりと細やかな土壌分析独自の土壌の多様性を詳細に把握するためにDRCやジャック・セロスと同じ世界的権威を持つ土壌学者クロード・ブルギニョンに土壌分析を依頼。乱暴にいえばどの畑にどの品種を植えても育つため土壌と品種の適合性まで考えない栽培家が多いシャンパーニュで、土壌の組成と品種との相性を知り、テロワールの表現という新たな世界を創り出している。 テロワールの表現はリューディ・シリーズのリリースによって究極の域に達した。希少極まりない接ぎ木なしのムニエで造られた、Les Barresがそのひとつである。シャンパーニュでは他にボランジェなどごく限られた生産者のみが保有する接ぎ木なしの畑であり、偉大なヴィエイユ・ヴィーニュ・フランセーズから造られている。ボランジェでは専門の栽培家が4人がかりだが、アレクサンドルはひとりで同じ作業を行うことからも、彼のただならぬ熱意と狂気とも表現された強い意思が感じられる。独特の赤い土壌由来のミネラル感を備えた、ピノ・ノワールに最適なLes Orizeauxや、シャルドネに最適なLes Heurtebiseとの比較はこの上なく興味深い。 国内外の専門誌で得る高い注目度と評価世界唯一のシャンパン専門評価誌において、スタンダート・キュヴェでさえNVシャンパーニュ部門で有名メゾンに並んでTOP10にランクイン。またトップ・キュヴェのフィアクルは名だたるメゾンのプレステージ・キュヴェを越える評価を得ており、ロゼ部門では1位に選ばれていることで、シャルトーニュ・タイエが現在のシャンパンを代表する生産者に昇り詰めていることが証明された。 また、国内ではWinart65号『次世代を担う!期待の造り手10人』特集において、モノパーセル・モノセパージュを代表する生産者として大きく掲載された。その他国内外での専門誌での特集や掲載は次々と行われており、その注目度の高さと称賛は、数あるレコルタンの中でも群を抜いている。今シャンパーニュを語る上で、決して欠かすことができないのがシャルトーニュ・タイエである。
